Did you know that men are four times as likely to succumb to suicide than women? It's a sobering fact but it doesn't have to be this way. While the conversation about mental health is changing in our society, it can still be difficult for men to open up about this personal struggle.
Happiness Project co-founder Michael Hammond is a mental health public speaker for the Federal Speakers Bureau on Mental Health, which is comprised of federal government workers who share their mental health stories to help change the conversation. Michael has spoken to hundreds of public servants and relayed his best tips and strategies for helping those who live with mental illness.
Michael is now offering to share his stories with Knights of Columbus councils or any other groups. His talk involves an amazing story of his spiritual journey and the efforts of many amazing people in his life. Michael is a Knight with Council 6217 at St. Martin de Porres Church in Bells Corners.
